This blog includes my 2 interests: attending arts performances and travels. It serves as a documentation of the Singapore arts and culture scene. For my travels, I hope my experience will make your next trip more fruitful and enjoyable.

Yangshuo Day 2 (I) : Floating along Yu Long River
Buns and soy milk for breakfast near our inn Durian Space. Transport picked us up for our morning bamboo raft ride along the Yulong River. The cost was Y100 each or Y200 per raft (including hotel pickup).
It was 30 minutes drive to the starting point of our trip. The raft we were on unfortunately did not provide any decent life jackets for us.
The journey was pleasant as the bamboo raft was not motorized and we had a relaxing time looking at the scenery. There were nine bumps along the 2 hour journey but they were mild. Suitable for seniors. Along the way, there would be photographers stationed at 3 areas and thus it was not necessary to purchase them at the first juncture (Y20 per photo).
The journey lasted 2 hours and ended at Da Rong Shu (大榕树景区), and it was an hour's drive back to Yangshuo. I enjoyed the experience, reminding me of my previous bamboo rafting at Wu Yi Mountain 武夷山back in 2004.
