It was the last day of the 2012 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix.
I was early at the Padang, catching the Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds gig at 6:45pm. As most people were in the stands or standing elsewhere waiting for the race to start, the audience was not huge for this concert.
Through some luck, I was let into the Fans Zone and had a good view of the band be closer to the action. I confessed I do not know much of NGHFB's music, neither did majority in the audience. But the band entertained the crowd with their playing.
And of course, the crowd gave the loudest cheers to Oasis's hits Wonderwall and Don't Look Back in Anger.
At the tail end of the concert, the F1 drivers were testing out the tracks and the sound of the engines affected the performance. Noel was amused...
An enjoyable concert.
It was a 2-hour wait before the Katy Perry concert began. I can use one word to describe: COLOURFUL!
Very nice graphics, reminds me of Roy Lichtenstein's works...
Katy Perry sang great...
coupling with beautiful visuals
and being lifted...
and made good use of the walkway, leading to fans at the back..
For the last song, she was being lifted by a crane.
An entertaining concert. And what a way to close the concert segment of the F1 series.
