Machine by Orangedot Productions

Machine, written by Tan Tarn How, was restaged by Orangedot Productions at the Esplanade Theatre Studio.  Jeremiah Choy, director of the original 2002 version, returned to direct a totally new cast.

This play is about 2 electric appliance repairmen Rex and Heng who turned up at the home of Lina and Kim and trying to fix their washing machine.  Of course, more things were fixed.....
The play itself does not offer much twist and thus it relies on the directing and the cast.  The director generally kept the pace going, though keeping the actors static when their scenes were not on was a bit distracting.

The cast of Oon Shu An, Seong Hui Xuan, Eden Ang and Julian Low played the roles according to the script.  At times, they seemed to be reciting the lines rather than be in the character.  On certain occasions, I could not hear the lines clearly.

If someone has seen both the 2002 and 2013 productions, let me know which version is better.
