This blog includes my 2 interests: attending arts performances and travels. It serves as a documentation of the Singapore arts and culture scene. For my travels, I hope my experience will make your next trip more fruitful and enjoyable.

Hotel Khamvongsa, Vientiane, Laos
A friend recommended this boutique Khamvongsa Hotel and I tried it when I visited Vientiane this time.
The hotel is few minutes walk to the river front, a few streets off the busy streets but still centrally located. It is within easy walking distance to the restaurants.
This boutique hotel is beautifuly restored and it has a colonial flavour. Breakfast is served here, and you have 6 choices, ranging from Laos porridge to waffles and light European breakfast.
I managed to stay in 4 different rooms over a 2-week period. I can say that the rooms are well maintained and spacious.
The hotel staff are attentive and polite, and are good at giving dining recomendations.
Decent bathroom.....
There are no lifts and thus you have to take the stairs to all rooms.
Each room has good wifi connection and the TV comes wiht many international channels.
Overall, Hotel Khamvongsa is a good recommendation in Vientiane.
