Moon the Night Restaurant, Vientiane

Moon the Night Restaurant: something is definitely not right with this restaurant name, but the name definitely stuck in our mind.

The restaurant is located along the Mekong River, though the walkway along the river leading to this restaurant was still under construction at point of writing.  It should be ready months ahead.

Not only was the walkway along the river incomplete, this building looks like work-in-progress as well.

But looking beyond the construction....

This is a good place for a drinks with friends.  The Laos food that we tried are of normal standards.  I believe patrons come here mainly for drinking with friends by the river.

And this is definitely a great place to catch the sunset.   


To conclude, if you are looking for a good dinner place, this may not be the best.  Go for the great view and a good atsmosphere for drinking with friends.
