This blog includes my 2 interests: attending arts performances and travels. It serves as a documentation of the Singapore arts and culture scene. For my travels, I hope my experience will make your next trip more fruitful and enjoyable.

Contemporary Circus Production Le Noir entertains audience
After a successful run in Tokyo, modern acrobatic act Le Noir came to Singapore for few weeks performances at the Marina Bay Sands.
The theatre itself was configured to resemble a big tent, where audience were seated around the performing area, and of course the performeres.
Most of the performers had stints at Cirque du Soleil, and their standards were high.
There was no plot in this production, which could be a good thing. We do have a Master of Ceremony-sort of guy who pieced the show together, and of course getting innocents audience to be involved.....
The audience were wowed with the difficult technical skills of the performers....
What made this production enjoyable was the great lighting and sound. In this photo, this performer was rotating a 3D object and the lights made the effects magical.
It was exciting to see this performer balancing......
and they swinging....
The audience clearly enjoyed themselves. At 2.5 hours, the performance time was just right. If you enjoy Cirque du Soleil or similar style of contemporary circus, this production is for you.
Performance till April.
