Sri Lanka Day 1: Wessa Giriya

We started the second half our touring in Anuradhapura at 4 pm, when the sun was not that strong and that we had some rest at the hotel.

The first stop was Wessa Giriya.

From the write-up, it was occupied by commoners Visya people who lived in the caves for a long time.

At the top of the hill (a very short climb to the top) we could see Ruwanweli Seya Dagoba that we visited earlier in the morning.

We also saw a model being photographed.

The caves where the people lived in could be visited (easy access).  There were traces of wordings on the wall.  Unfortunately, the photos did not turn out well.

Worth a stop here for a visit.  Set aside 30 minutes.
