Venus in Fur by Singapore Repertory Theatre

A play within a play, David Ives' Venus in Fur was about a playwright Thomas who decided to give a woman Vanda to try out the lead role of an erotic novel Venus in Fur.  What unfolded was the role reversal between man and women, and master and servant.
I did not find the script that captivating, and so it had to rely on the actors Steffanie Leigh and Anson Mount. Both did a commendable job, though the point where there was a change in power play was not convincing.

The production and set design by Francis O'Connor and Loren Shaw were beautiful and Gabrial Chan did a good lighting design.

Overall, this production was tight.  The slight disappointment was the script.
